SERVERS

POSITION SUMMARY
Servers are the front line people. Servers are the people who share the knowledge and passion of the Farmers Table philosophy of food, health, and wellness with our guests. The wait staff are salespeople, not order takers!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Ability to thrive, multitask and execute our service standards in a high volume environment
  • Complete knowledge of restaurant’s food and beverage preparation, pricing, and presentation
  • Ability to sell alcohol and food items, as well as upselling
  • Must complete training program and food & beverage test
  • Proficiency in Toast POS
  • Positive guest interaction and effective crisis management
  • Fast, efficient, and correct cash and payment handling at all times
  • Maintain side-work and ensure the cleanliness of assigned section and side stations in a high volume environment
  • Assisting bussers with clearing and setting of tables during peak service
  • Responsible alcohol management
  • Reporting to work with a clean uniform every day
  • Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential
  • A personal commitment to a happy and healthy lifestyle
  • Other duties as directed on a day to day basis

MINIMUM QUAIFICATIONS

  • Legal working status and/or residency in U.S. with proper documentation
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Proficient reading and writing skill set
  • Full open availability for the first 90 days including, but not limited to, holidays, weekends, mornings, and nights
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a mid-to-high volume restaurant
  • Consistent and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to suggestively sell and upsell food items and alcohol
  • Florida Serve Safe certification (we provide this as well on a quarterly basis)
  • Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol
  • Punctuality is a must. We consider on time to be 15 minutes early!

BARTENDERS

POSITION SUMMARY
Bartenders extend Farmer’s Table’s philosophy of amazing quality product and service through our garden to glass cocktails, craft beer selection, and a commitment to building regular and return guests having their meal at the bar instead of the table.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible alcohol management and Serve Safe certification (we provide training for this as well)
  • Prepare of all bar fruit & garnishes ensuring proper rotation of mixers and product
  • Restock of all bottles of liquor, wine, and beer before and at the end of each shift
  • Very strong communication skills and a think ahead mentality
  • Welcome each guest in a prompt and friendly passion within one (1) minute of arrival
  • Work with other bar staff members to ensure the high standard of service, as well as keep the bar area clean and presentable at all times
  • Serve mixed drinks with a strong knowledge of all recipes both in house and general cocktails
  • Ability to work service bar and serve guests in a prompt and friendly manner
  • Fast, efficient, and correct cash handling
  • Wash bar glassware behind bar
  • Constant and immediate management of keeping bar tabs up to date and in front of guest
  • Other duties as directed on a day to day basis

MINIMUM QUAIFICATIONS

  • Legal working status in the U.S. and/or residency with proper documentation
  • The physical ability to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, wipe and remain stationary for long periods of time
  • The physical ability to be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a mid to high volume restaurant preferred
  • Full open availability for the first 90 days including but not limited to holidays, weekends, mornings, and night
  • Legal age to serve liquor according to state law
  • Basic mathematical, reading and computer skills
  • Existing knowledge and passion of beer, wine and spirits, and food
  • Strong ability to multitask in a friendly and organized fashion in a high volume environment
